Hello
I have thermaltake 730w . Asrock z87 extreme4 . Rx 580 . I5 4670k . 2x4 ram
Recently my pc start to shutdown and restart randomly or as I noticed after lunching a game for a few seconds
The weird thing that it's not constant
I mean most of the times I am gaming fine for few hours but other times it just restarts after a few minutes of playing a game or even with a small load like playing music or youtube
I checked the temp it's totally fine and all the fans are working fine
Reinstalled the windows and driver's it was good for a while but it came back
Any ideas ?
most of the times When the pc is restarting the gpu won't launch with it I have to force restart to boot up probably

Hey there,

Random restarts like that normally point to an issue with the PSU. You might look at swapping it out to be sure. Do you have a spare one lying around? Maybe a friend can lend you one. If not bringing to a local repair store, and they can swap it out and test it for you for about 20€£$. Otherwise you may have to buy one to be sure.

May be your Powersupply is dying.. as you said your PSU is old.. may be electrolytes in Capacitor is drying.. and losing its capacitance...

Get better PSU...

And first of all.. I recommend to reassemble your whole PC.. and clean your Power cable's connectors... This also can be an issue..
