After 1 month I finally received my Asus Strix RTX 2070 Super that was sent to RMA. It had crash issues, Furmark showed thousands of artifacts etc ...
I was hoping they would send me a new one, but they only replaced the Micron GDDR6 memory, which was the faulty component. While I was waiting I was gaming on my old GTX 1070 without issues. Yesterday when I received my card I decided to run stress tests on it, before I dive into serious gaming. It didn't show artifacts in Furmark, however every time I run the stress test, my pc restarts after 10-13 minutes. Temperatures are under 75 degrees with the fan spinning on 34% ... I have already read some posts, in which people say that it's mostly a faulty PSU. However with my GTX 1070 I don't experience any unexpected reboots. Finally, I checked Windows Event Viewer.
The time when it crashed:
(10/10/2019 7:11:36) ERROR: The previous system shutdown at 6:32:23 PM on 10/10/2019 was unexpected.
(10/10/2019 7:10:28) ERROR: Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation.
(10/10/2019 7:10:28) CRITICAL: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
(10/10/2019 7:10:28) ERROR: Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0
(10/10/2019 7:10:33) WARNING: The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device HID\VID_0951&PID_16A4&MI_03&Col02\8&2dfa5f00&0&0001.
(10/10/2019 7:11:34) CRITICAL: A problem has occurred with one or more user-mode drivers and the hosting process has been terminated. This may temporarily interrupt your ability to access the devices.
Anyone can confirm that it's a GPU's fault?
