so my pc started restarting by itself at first it was giving me a message saying cpu overheat from the bios which i was like ok must be the pc cooler so i bought a new one the H60 AIO lc one and put that in there still doing it 🙁 unsure what im doing wrong at this point its a whole new build just does it on one game other games run fine it goes from 50c-85c then back down to 67c then will jump back up and down occasianly specs as followed
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU:Nvidia rtx 3090 founders edition
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G5, 80 Plus Gold 1000W

Can you run Home - UserBenchmark and post a link to your result please? Also, what BIOS version is your motherboard currently running? Are your chipset drivers up to date?
i dont think its the current version i think it was 51 something i will restart and get that and let you know chipset drivers and all drivers are indeed up to date i use driver booster to make sure everything is up to date give me a moment and i will run the benchmark and get the version info

Your RAM is only running at 2133MHz, you need to enable XMP in BIOS to get it running at 3200MHz. Also, which slots do you have the RAM plugged into? A2,B2?
i have them in 2 and 4 as the fan i did have was to big and wouldnt let me use the 1st slot and my motherboard was like no must be 2 and 4 or 1 and 3 lol so i went with 2 and 4

Slots 2 and 4 are correct for dual channel, it should just be a case of enabling XMP in BIOS.
just found it and enabled it they are running at 3200 now i will try the game with these settings but even while just typeing here my temp goes from 54.8c to 75.5 then back down then back up and nothing is even running yet as the pc was just restarted give me a second to run the game for like 2 minutes because its the worst when at the title screen which is even weirder normally it should be when the game is running heavy load not the title screen but its reverse for this less temp while playing more temp while in title lol

Im not that familiar with AIO coolers, is yours a single fan variant? If so, Im not sure if it is enough for a 5800X, (i could be wrong, please wait for someone more experienced with AIO's to comment.) Sorry I couldnt help you out further.
no worries thank you for trying at least lol xmp seems to somewhat help but enableing xmp seems to hate my system as now my monitors are flashing on and off at random times
this is the cooler i bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079NXZQBC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've had this too figured out a way to fix it with power settings, idk if this would work for you but it does for me and some others too
Press the windows key search power & sleep settings, then additional power settings
Change to balance mode / high performance (you can run balanced mode if high performance still makes your CPU high temperature on idle, I just recommend it if you're gaming and because it doesn't really affect me on high performance) then change plan settings
Change advanced power settings
Scroll down to Processor power management, double click it
Double click Maximum processor state
Click Setting then change the percentage lower, mine is 90% right now yours could be lower or higher to solve it but usually 90-95% almost fixed it for people
Just don't go too low, I saw some people go to 60% too
Click Apply then OK and close the other window
And' youre done

Hope this helps for everyone 😀

Don't use that kind of software to install drivers! They are notorious for installing outdated or incorrect drivers. Take a few minutes and manually search for each needed driver.

Problem is, by doing this you are inhibiting your cpu from boosting, it will not exceed it's base clock speeds which is fine for normal browsing etc but will hit performance while gaming and using cpu intensive workloads.

Eh facts, sorry it was kinda misleading then since I just realized that too after playing a game

so putting the power to 90% actually droped the temp from 65 to 42c and stayed around that temp the whole time i used it it does drop my fps from 95 to 50 but i mean it kinda works i also put it back to 100% just to see and its getting up to 70c hasnt really went past it so idk whats going on now now it seems normal? but i have done nothing new lol i swear sometimes i dont get computers lol i will continue to monitor it and report back in a bit

droping to 90% power again sets the temp to 52c or lower and im still getting 70-100fps going to continue to play with it and see not sure what this means though lol
