Hey,

So typically random restarts like that, but often at load, are related to your PSU.

Your PSU is not a very good one. If it's 5 years old, I'd be taking that out of the system straight away, as it's in the throws of failing. It could spark out and take some of your hardware with it.

The good news is, there are lots of good quality gold units about for good prices. You don't have a power hungry system, so a decent 550w would do. Something like a Corsair RMX/RMi/TXM, Seasonic Focus Plus Gold, EVGA G2/G3 or Superflower leadex. The PSU is the heart of your system. All of those brands come with 7-10 year warranties and a re made from quality parts.

Hey there,

Welcome to the Forum :)

Can you list your PC specs, including make and model of PSU?

Cheers
Thanks for the reply, I'll list the specs down below:

Cpu: i5 10400f
Gpu: gtx 1060 6gb
Mb: Gigabyte h410m-h
Memory: 16 GB 2666 mhz
Psu: inter-tech Argus APS-620W

I have used this unit for about 5 years. Meanwhile I have changed the motherboard, cpu and RAM. I haven't changed the power supply since then.

I took a break from gaming for 5 months, and now I have this problem.

Thanks a lot!
