My pc restarts suddenly while playing high graphics games

My PC configuration is this
Intel DH55TC Motherboard.
Intel i3 CPU 540 @ 3.07GHz
ATI Radeon 6770 1GB DDR5
2048 MB Ram
PSU : Corsair VS550w
UPS : APC 600V

Actually, When i play games like Counter Strike then no restart occurs, but when i play games like DOTA 2, Crysis 3, Assasin Creed IV, other high graphic games, then my pc suddenly restarts, no shut down nothing, just turns off instantly and restarts. I thought it was my PSU, i changed my PSU as well as got a good APC UPS. But still the problem is there. I already spent a lot of money in there :\. Around INR 6000. What should I do now? Is that my motherboard problem? Or its the Graphics Card?
I also noticed that the temperature are normal, they remain in between 60-70 maximum times.
Please help me out some one .

P.S : NO *SHUT DOWN* Message, simply direct restart as if some one directly turned the power source off and then turned on so that the system starts again!

Sorry to hear about your problem. I think the problem is related to the GPU.

Run a GPU stress tester for several hours. If it doesn't shut down, run Prime95 and see if it runs fine. Let us know the results.

Actually i ran a GPU stress tester, when the temperature exceeded 90 degree then i closed it, coz normally while gaming my temp remains @ 60-70 c

Did the Prime test, 20 test done, no error no warnings.

Now what to do?

Does this happen in every single game or just a few? It could be overheating if it gets to 90c. This is my guess.

I know you ran Prime95, but what are your CPU temps?

GPU overheating has more symptoms than just a shutdown. It will throttle itself, your games will slow down, then there may be a crash. CPU overheating just shuts off.

Actually, CPU overeating causes throttling as well. There are threads here all the time about "my games start to lag after 10 minutes" and they always turn out to be CPU overheating and throttling. Its pretty rare for a computer to just turn off form CPU overheating without alot of obvious signs first.

Hmm. Haven't heard that before. When I was having overheating issues my CPU would just power off, no throttling. It was from the Athlon series if that makes a difference. With that being said it's more likely to be GPU then, considering it gets up to 90 in tests.

Edit: Are you referring to Cool N Quiet mode? Where it lowers frequency when it gets too hot or when its idle.

No I am not referring to cool and quiet mode. Your motherboard was likely old and did not have any throttling built in. ANY modern board, AMD or Intel, will throttle the CPU if it passes tj.max temp.

Cpu 0 remains most of the times 90degree and cpu 1 remains mostly 91-92 degree

Yeah, your CPU is overheating. 90c is WAY too hot for that CPU. 72.6c is the MAX temp according to Intel. At 90c any CPU will begin to fry.

It happens in high graphics game only, in low graphics ( Counter strike 1.6, GO) the problem doesnt occur at all !

Well, your CPU is frying so that needs to be fixed, but I'm guessing your GPU is frying too and causing the crashes.

Actually I have a messed up cabinet, i guess for that reason this is happening ?

I don't think so. For the CPU, make sure the cooler is firmly attacked and the fan is spinning. Does your case have at least one fan?

I had 2 fans in my cabinet before, but last year i changed my motherboard, so had to lose one fan. My GPU has a default fan with heatsink, above the processor there is a fan came up along the processor

Since neither of these tests crashed your computer, I would give Memtest a shot.

Your CPU is way too hot. Most graphically intense games are pretty heavy for the CPU too. For example, DOTA 2 relies on the CPU quite a bit. Reseat the heatsink and assure that your thermal paste isn't dried up.
