My PC Restarts When I Try To Factory Reset Please Help!

Please Help! I have a weird virus which made my screen go black! So I try to factory reset by holding shift while I restart to get to the troubleshoot menu. I factory reset and the screen goes black temporarily and then shuts off then reboots like normal without factory resetting!

Do you have anti-virus? If so, have you tried using the software to remove your virus before doing any troubleshoot?

I do but I can't access it due to the black screen and it doesn't seem as if it was a virus problem because I can get to my desktop but when I'm there it is just black.
