My PC screen turns black when playing games

Specs:
GTX MSI 1080
intel core i7-8700k 3.7GHz
16 gigs of ram
850w power supply


When I try to play games that are more graphics intensive like fallout 4 about 2 hours into the game my screen will go black and wont come back on. My PC will stay on but i can't edit anything.

My GPU says around 49-57 Celsius while playing and my CPU about 39-67

Anything helps this has been an issue for a few months now

Is the graphics card being overclocked beyond its factory clock speeds or is it operating at its stock factory clock speeds?

Its stock, I don't need to overclock it for the games I play

on a side note I stress tested my GPU and CPU
GPU temp 60-70 cel
CPU 40-67 cel

Did you check the Windows Event Viewer's Window Logs for any errors that may give you a hint as to what is causing the problem? Usually it will be the graphics cartd's device driver not being able to recover from an error.

What Operating System version are you using?

Do you have the latest motherboard device drivers installed? Is your Fallout 4 running with the latest updates? Are you using any Fallout 4 mods?

win 10 and no mods or anything like that I make sure my auto updates go every other week
