So i decided to post my pc specs. are these specs good for gaming

Kingston HyperX 16 GB DDR3
ASRock FM2A55 Pro+
AMD athlon X4 740X
XFX Radeon HD 7970 Double dissipation 3GB
MS-Tech MS-N650-Val 650W

Please tell me if the setup is good or not and if not tell me whats wrong with it :)

The PSU is low quality. I would replace it ASAP with a Corsair (not CX, CS, RM), XFX, Antec, Seasonic unit.

The CPU is too low end for the GPU and will bottleneck the GPU in pretty much any game fairly badly.

16gb RAM is pointless for gaming and 8gb is more than enough.

Yeah i thought that was going to be called on. Im going to replace it soon with an Athlon X4 760k.

I already build this. The psu is fine in my opinion. its running good so no problems so far.

Might be a better idea to save for a 6300 or 8320 in the future. But then you would need a motherboard upgrade.

This will not even help much if at all. You will still not get ANYWHERE close to max performance out of that 7970.

Also the PSU is trash. It could easily fry your computer I would replace it ASAP.
