My PC should be great, but it's super unstable

So, I am getting super frustrated with my pc. I am a gamer, and I have spent the longest time acquiring all the components to out together a really really nice gaming pc. I now run with the following:

Intel Core i7 4790k processor
Nvidia Geforce GTX 980ti GPU
16GB ram
And my OS is Windows 10.

This should be quite a fantastic pc right? Well, it does run games at super high fps with really good graphics, but what is making me so mad is that every single game crashes constantly. After about 20 mins of gameplay on any game you name, it will crash. Also, i have run into several critical pc errors that required me to reinstall my OS. The specs on this thing is great, but it just constantly falls apart on me. Does anyone know what could be causing the constant crashes and OS failures? It's probably something corrupted, but I have replaced my hard drive about 3 times now and still have issues. Assistance would be greatly appreciated so i might not break everything I own. Thanks in advance!

Solution
Buying single sticks and combining them is something not guaranteed to work. Singles have never been tested together and are not guaranteed to be compatible if combined. Of course, nothing is stopping you from making such combinations. It is called, do it yourself compatibility testing. Buying a single tested kit is guaranteed for compatibility.

Gigabye B85M-HD3 motherboard, Corsair h90 and 2 other 140mm fans for cooling, temps stay arpund 35-40c under loads, no overclock, matching ram sticks, have not tested individual ram sticks or memtested them, 1200 watt psu

I forget if the ram sticks were in a single kit so ill try just one at a time. and The first time i replaced my HDD was because it filled up so i switched some files and used the old one for storage, and the next two times were because of corruption. But the one I have now has lasted way longer than the others. I'll look into memtesing and see what happens.

Update:

I did a Windows memory diagnosis and came up clean, then i removed on of the memory stick and tried both and still experienced the same crashes, I also ran MSI Afterburner while playing and saw that all of the voltages, usages, and temps stayed low, and that only a small portion of the ram stick was being used. However, the GPU temps did rise into 70C which is kinda danger zone, easily fixable though.
