Hi, I have a syber extreme system with:
Ac rock Z170M-ITX/ac
I5 6600k
8 go ram
Gtx 1070

I had overclocked both cpu and GPUs card and in the last 4 months the pc was shut off periodically. So I changed the stock fan to a Zalman 8900 quit. I reversed the overclocking to normal but the problem insist. I check the cpu in stress test on prime95 and stays max 50c. The GPU max 83c. When I run 3dmark demo the pc shutoff in the middle of the test. I went to bios and I load the default settings. But nothing. I get frustrating what can be. Faulty gpu? Faulty Psu?

Thank for your reply, I bought 2 years and half ago and I think is similar to this machine accept the cpu that is i5 6600k. https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Syber-Vapor-Elite.
I think the supply is 450 w. I am not. Sure and I don’t have another one. Do you know any other supply bigger than this the same size for future upgrade? Maybe I will upgrade To 2080.
Thanks.

That's a Corsair SF450, that's a pretty decent unit for an SFX build. I can't see where that would be the culprit but on the other hand Cyberpower does have a reputation for screwing even the best hardware up.

the problem start couple of months ago and i thought is the stock fan of intel so i replaced with a pretty good fan zalman 8900 { is the only one that can fit in such a small case }. do you know any similar size bigger psu for testing?

Is the system full out shutting off where you need to turn it back on manually? or is it rebooting?

If its shutting off the PSU is likely hitting over current protection. While thats a good PSU, it may not be enough to handle overclocking that CPU and GPU.

Ok if its fully shutting down like that its most likely a PSU issue. While a SF450 should be enough, Its likely you're hitting OCP. Corsair makes an SF600 which you may want to consider. BUT is there a warranty still on this system?

Yes I would say its likely expired.

If I were you if you can't get access to a PSU to test out your system then buy a Corsair SF600 to replace yours. I am reasonably sure that should cure the issue. if not, then you can return it.

Ok thats similar in quality to the Corsair we discussed earlier. Same size as well. Still think that may be the issue based on the behavior.

i don't know why is not working the new psu corsair sf600 with my acrock z170 itx. The psu has 24 pin cable and my mb has 20 pin. The cable that came with can split the extra 4 pins and can fit to the mb. I also connected the cpu 4 pins from mb to 8 pin that says cpu on psu. the 2 sata to the peripheral sata of psu and the 1070 card to 8 pin on psu that says 6+2 pci. When i start i hear on click but doesn't start. With the old psu and the old cables 20 pin to 20 pin connector starts. I test the new psu with the paper clip and is ok.

Put the old PSU back on, does it still work? Sounds like you have a short maybe when swapping the PSU

Yes the old one works , I have it now, I change it multiple time but the corsair doesn’t work. Only the old one. The new one when I put it it makes on click and nothing else. I sent you a link of a YouTube video to check, maybe the cables are wrong?
