So i've been using my pc for around 4-5 months now and everything was fine. 2 days ago i got in a voice call with my friend and he couldnt hear me, so I went to sound settings and saw my mic was playing a sound nonstop. It was buzzing basically and when i touched my case the buzzing stopped. I did some research and it turns out my pc is ungrounded but it was grounded before since everything worked fine.

Can someone tell me what can possibly cause my pc to become ungrounded and is using or touching my pc safe at this point?

Solution
You can easily verify if the case is grounded with a multimeter.
If your dad is an electrician....he knows how.
I think that if the buzzing stops when you touch your case...and you aren't touching anything else....like the mic etc....then I would check to make sure the case is grounded.
How have you verified the system is ungrounded?

More likely the mic connector or wire is damaged, or it was just loose in the jack.

Doubt the system is ungrounded if you plugged it into a grounded outlet. You can certainly buy a outlet tester that will tell you if ground is missing. Pretty unlikely for the whole house ground to have failed, usually a thick steel rod sunk into the ground somewhere. Might be worth looking at the breaker box to see where it goes, a connector could have rusted off somewhere.

So like, when i touch my pc and that way ground it the mic works fine, the electricity somewhere is making my mic buzz and it might be the PSU. I got a new PSU cable and an extension cord and the buzzing is still here and my mic cable is fine I just checked it
I would like to know if i need a new PSU or is there a way to ground it. I searched for hours everyday and I couldn't find anyone with a similar problem.

Thank You so much for responding!

Edit: I tried using different outlets and the problem is still there so its a problem with the PC. Also I should ask my dad to check this because he's been an electrician for 25 years now and I don't know why I didn't do that in the first place.

Hello, so I'm currently having the same problem and already tried different fixes everywhere, bought an audio to USB sound card, replaced my headset but microphone buzz still persist. May I ask have you fixed it? If so then please reply, I've been trying to fix this problem for years and still hopeless.
