my PC still thinks I have the old GPU and forces its driver updates down my throat

I once bought a pre-built gaming PC with a 960. I've since disassembled it and used some of its stuffs (like CPU and hard drives) in building a new one with a 980Ti. But now Windows still thinks I'm using the old PC and that my GPU is still a 960, whereas all 3rd party softwares can detect that I'm using a different GPU.

So every time my windows updates, windows tells me that there is a new driver for 960. How can I stop this?

Thanks.

Just install newest driver for your card from Nvidia web site and windows will not bug you to update (until newer driver version comes out).
Nvidia uses unified driver architecture, so basicaly all desktop GPUs use same drivers.
