My pc stopped working and had to install windows again

i had windows 8 and i updated to apparently free windows 10.
i had been using windows 10 for a while, so far so good.
but one day after it had updated, my pc didnt boot up anymore.
i had my windows on my SSD (ocz agility 3 240gb) and most of my other stuff on the HDD that has 1tb space on it. i reinstalled my windows 8 back, because i only had disc of win 8. and tried the same activation code, but it didnt work. MICROSOFT SUCKS, but i cant use anything else so gotta have windows...

so how do i get my windows back without paying more?

download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

when you reach screen asking for licence key, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 should reactivate itself once installed

when you updated to win 10 your win 8 licence becamse a win 10 digital entitlement to always install win 10 on that PC again. You don't need that key now.
