[SOLVED] My pc suddenly started making this grinding noise and it stopped after I restarted it, can you please tell me why did my pc make this noise?

Solution
Backup your data immediately.

However, remember that anything you do could cause data loss.

Hopefully it is not too late and that a successful backup can be achieved.

Overall, at this point in time (with three "episodes") it may not be too late.

Then, again, try to pinpoint the source of the noise.

One time occurrence?

I am unable to pick out any "grinding" noise per se.

Grinding likely a hard drive if you have a hard drive or drives installed.

Could also be a fan. Perhaps some piece of debris "blew in" and then got "blown out".....

Do you have all data etc.. safely backed up and verified recoverable and readable?

If the noise re-occurs try to pinpoint the location/source.
