My PC turned off after inserting microsoft office 8.1 disk it whirred a little bit and then it turned off and won't power back on. Have I fried something? This only happened when I put the disk in, it turned on and loaded up to the "please insert disk" or whatever screen just fine.
It confuses me as to how I would have harmed my pc in anyway from simply placing a disk into the optical disk tray so it can load up the os (while it was on of course)
And it loaded up to the blue microsoft windows thing, while it was doing the whirring then turned off
The fans may not have sped up, and may just have been the disk drive loading the os. Still, I don't see why it would turn off
