My PC turns off automatically after booing. Few days ago my POWER SUPPLY got damaged due to Power Surge, I was not using a UPS. So, I got a new POWER SUPPLY and a UPS, but now my PC boots up, runs for sometime and closes automatically without any signs, as if the power source has been removed.
I have checked the wires connecting the hardware but still it's turning off.
Has the power outage affected any other components besides the PSU? or is there something else that I need to do to fix this problem?
Please Help!

Specs:

Motherboard : Asus M5A78-M LX V2

GPU: GTX 1060 3GB
CPU: AMD FX- 6300 (6 core)

PSU: Cooler Master Elite 450 (this one got damaged)
New PSU: Cooler Mater MWE 450w

Whilst it could be something else, the Cooler Master Elite 450 is a poor quality PSU, so you can't guarantee that it hasn't caused damage to other components in the initial fault.
Not sure on the quality of the Cooler Master MWE series, although based on their budget, I would go along the same lines.

Are you getting past POST at all?
Do you have any beep codes at all?

Yes I am able to get past POST and there are no beep codes.
My PC boots up and I am able to use it for about 5-10 minutes then it powers off automatically.

And do you have anything showing in the event viewer or any minidump files?

Random reboots without any BSOD or events are usually indicative of a power problem. Either UPS / outlet / PSU. Even if it is new, my understanding of the MWE, is they are poor quality.

What should i check in the event viewer?

Is there a possibility that the motherboard got damaged in the power surge?
I’m thinking its the MB that’s causing the problem.
Or is my new PSU a faulty one and i should buy a new PSU?
