My pc turns on for 1 second then off again :(

i have a problem i just built a brand new pc the only old parts i reused was the power supply and the gpu and the hdd the problem is that the pc starts for a second or two and then shits off everything spins for the1 second its on for any help would be appreciated the specs are intel i7 6700k pny gtx1050 ti and the gigabyte z30p d3 motherboard with 16 gb ram please help thanks

What is the PSU?

The 6700K isn't compatible with the Z370 MB, you need an 8th generation CPU... 8700K etc.

Or

A Z170 or Z270 MB for the 6700K.

Hey thanks for replying the psu is a corsair 550m in pretty sure and really I need a whole new mobo? That's a shame because I just bought that one is there any chance you can send a link to the source that tells you that just so I dont go returning my mobo and find out that's not the reason thanks for your help
