Hello,

I realise that it may be a bit too late since the windows anniversary update was released about 2 months ago, but recently, it has been bugging me so much. Before the update, I could connect to my 5.0 ghz wifi just fine on my PC. Same with all of my other devices (ex. HTC One M8, iPad, etc). It worked very well too. After this update, my other devices are obviously still connected to 5.0 ghz but on my PC, it has completely been disappeared. I have gone to "Manage known networks" under the wifi tab in settings, and it does show my 5.0 ghz wifi. However, I still have not been able to connect to it due to it not showing up on my "Show available networks" at all.

My wireless network adapter is this: https://www.amazon.com/Edimax-EW-7811UTC-Dual-Band-Connectivity-Exceeding/dp/B00FW6T36Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1476116346&sr=8-1&keywords=edimax+ac600

Again, my wireless network adapter supports BOTH 5GHZ and 2.4GHZ. My PC USED to be able to connect to it because it was available. Not anymore. I have no clue on what happened, so any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I have tried updating the wifi adapter. I looked on device manager, then I looked automatically for a driver. Should I try downloading the driver manually? Just going to their website and downloading it like that?

Thanks.

Ok yeah so I updated my drivers, but for some reason it showed up periodically, then I just decided to go ahead and update my drivers. It worked ever since, but now, I do not have it shown up at all, on my wifi networks. Weird :/
