My PC will not shut off most of the time.

Hello. I bought me a brand new gaming PC like 3 weeks ago. And ever since day 1 I have noticed a little problem. When i try to put my PC in sleep mode most of the time it will just turn back on, and will not go in sleep mode. And when I try to shut it off it just turns right back on.

Make sure the power settings are correct, just go to power options> (select plan) change plan settings> (make sure the sleep is set)>advanced power settings>sleep>(make sure everything looks good to you)
