My PC will randomly go to sleep, and won’t wake up.

I’ve seen similar threads made about this type of issue, but no one else as far as I’ve seen has had this same variation of the issue. (Read the whole description to see what I’m talking about.)

Recently, my computer (which was built in February of this year) has been suddenly going to sleep while in use. The screen instantly goes black, the fans keep spinning, the interior lighting stays on but freezes in its rainbow cycle, and my mouse and keyboard stay illuminated but both fail to wake up the computer. So the first time or two that this happened, I was able to get back in to my desktop only by holding the power button for 10 seconds to shut it down and then power it back on. HOWEVER, NOW, WHENEVER THESE RANDOM FREEZES OCCUR, NOT EVEN THE POWER BUTTON WILL DO ANYTHING. The only way to restart the thing now is to cut off the power and then reconnect it, which is supposedly very bad for the PC. I am very confused as to what could be causing this, and I have tried messing with power and sleep settings, as well as tightening the CPU cooler mount and checking the case IO cables to make sure they are plugged in correctly. None of those things appear to be related to the problem, so I am very concerned that there is an issue with my GPU or CPU. If anyone has any idea as to what could be going on here, I would really appreciate some info on what the issue is and how to fix it! Thanks!!

Do you know what parts are in the PC?

Does it matter what you are doing at time? Does it happen anywhere or just in games?

See if turning fast startup off changes its behavior regarding having to unplug it to turn it back on again - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189-turn-off-fast-startup-windows-10-a.html. Default shut down for windows uses a hybred hibernate, its not really off. Turning fast startup off means PC will be off when you shut it down. Might save PC some stress

I am not sure its a windows problem, it could be your GPU since everything else stays on. Does screen show anything on it once its black, can you, for example, tell if its still on or perhaps its turning off?

I built the PC myself and it has a Ryzen 5 1600, a gtx 1060 6gb, and 16gb of ram on an asus strix b350 board. It doesnt seem to matter what I'm doing with the PC, it just happens at any random time. When this happens, the montor doesnt turn off, but the led goes from the white "displaying video" mode to the red "monitor is on but no signal" mode.

Also, an update: I booted the thing up again today and it did a triple boot before putting me into the bios and telling me that the pc was switched to "safe boot mode" because something is supposedly unstable. I had a very mild overclock on the CPU and nothing on the gpu so I dont know whats causing the system to be unstable.
