Was the motherboard used in a previous system? If so, did you reset the BIOS to default before attempting to use yourself?

The mother bord was pre-owned and i did not reset the bios, would you like me to to do that?

sorry to bother again, how would I reset the Motherboard if my system can't stay on for more than a second? Will it still work if the system is off?

Remove all power sources (power cable, video cable, powered speakers.

Then, press the power button to discharge any residual power in the system.

Next, remove the motherboard battery (note which side faces up) and wait at least one minute before re-inserting the battery. Your motherboard should be rest at this point.

Reconnect the items previously disconnected and try again.

You also need to have the 7900v18 version of the BIOS installed for that CPU to work. Do you know if that version (or newer) is installed?

The memory will only fit in the slots one way, so they are likely fine.

Do you have a different FM2+ CPU? Also, have you inspected the CPU for bent/missing/broken pins?

Do you have the previous motherboard (I assume this is a replacement)?

The user manual for motherboard generally has directions for resetting the BIOS. Most motherboards have two specific pins which need to be shorted for few seconds without any power source on to reset the BIOS.

If you've never updated the BIOS, then it may be likely that it is running on factory installed BIOS version, which can be checked by looking for a small sticker on one of the IC or it may simply be written somewhere on your board. If the BIOS version is not 7900v18, then you have to upgrade it. Best way to do is to take it to MSI service center and they'll do it.

yes i have a different FM2+ CPU, and i have inspected the CPU, and yes i have the previous motherboard, but i had to get a new one because my graphics card was too powerful for it.

Too powerful? In what way?

Try the other CPU (assuming not the same model) to see if the system will start. If so, update the BIOS and try the second CPU again.

Did you turn on the monitor? Most of the people forget that. Also, have you plugged the video output to graphics card's output?
