Question My PC will start up for a second then power off immediately. please help!

Remove all power sources (power cable, video cable, powered speakers.

Then, press the power button to discharge any residual power in the system.

Next, remove the motherboard battery (note which side faces up) and wait at least one minute before re-inserting the battery. Your motherboard should be rest at this point.

Reconnect the items previously disconnected and try again.
 
The user manual for motherboard generally has directions for resetting the BIOS. Most motherboards have two specific pins which need to be shorted for few seconds without any power source on to reset the BIOS.

If you've never updated the BIOS, then it may be likely that it is running on factory installed BIOS version, which can be checked by looking for a small sticker on one of the IC or it may simply be written somewhere on your board. If the BIOS version is not 7900v18, then you have to upgrade it. Best way to do is to take it to MSI service center and they'll do it.
 
yes i have a different FM2+ CPU, and i have inspected the CPU, and yes i have the previous motherboard, but i had to get a new one because my graphics card was too powerful for it.
