Question My pc won’t post

I got a new motherboard and cpu and I plugged everything but the 4 pin cpu connector but I plugged in the 8 pin on but whenever I try and turn on the pc nothing boots up besides the motherboard lights
Specs:
Cpu: ryzen 9 3900x
Motherboard: rog crosshair vii hero wifi
Ram: 2x8
Gpu: rx5900xt red devil
Powersupply: powerspec 650w semi modular

Possibly you need to throw in an older CPU and update the bios to work with the 3900x

I tried to do one with the usb bios plugin but it didn’t seem to work
