My PC wont boot from a CD

I have an intense PC (PN: c3217-wb-fm4u) and i am trying to perform a fresh install but when I change the boot order it doesn't save and goes back to like fifth or sixth in line.

This is via an external CD drive i should add

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Look at the right on your screen (normaly F10) and click the button/combination which says save current settings and reboot.

*Edit : Or simply try F8/F11 while loading to open boot menu.
