My motherboard is a gigabyte Gigabyte H81M-S2PT
As title says my pc won't boot up (won't even make that peep) unless I remove the ram and put it into the other socket
I've tried :-
  • updating BIOS
  • buying a new ram and replacing it
  • BIOS reset , CMOS reset
  • Installing a new version of windows 10
note : sometimes instead of it not booting up it gets into a infinite loop where it keeps booting up for 5 seconds and shutting down

I would try replacing the CMOS battery with a new one. Your board is old. It is likely the battery has died or become weak.

If that does not fix the problem, then it's likely time for either a new motherboard or a new power supply.

What is the EXACT version of your power supply AND how long has it been in service?
