My PC won't detect my HDD

Hi,
I built a new PC a few days ago and have got to the point where I want to use my 1TB HDD.
However the PC is not detecting the HDD, I've been into disk management and its not there, it's not showing up in BIOS in Boot Priority, although if I check the SATA connections it shows that it does recognise the HDD being connected to SATA cable 1.

I have also tried plugging it in while the PC is running on the SSD to prompt the "detected new hardware" but that just crashes the PC a restarts it, showing the HDD but no longer the SSD.

If I unplug the SSD and leave the HDD in the BIOS will detect the HDD properly, but then obviously I can't access anything because windows is installed on my SSD.

Thanks for any help!

Might I ask another Question similar to this topic? I don't know if I am suppose to create a new thread or not. But my problem is quiet similar to this one.

My Motherboard is H18H1-M3SV:1.0, HDD is Toshiba 500GB. It was running fine for a few months, but now it's acting up. My problem is, Bios detects the HDD but could not load Windows, the flashing underscore prompt(idk the name) keeps flashing. I used a Live Windows with ROM, Live Windows could be loaded but the windows could not detect the HDD, nothing is shown with Disk Management also.

When i plugged the HDD on another Computer as a slave drive, everything seems normal. I also used a working HDD from another CPU the problem is still the same. I also tried each four SATA ports to...
I might try connecting the HDD to another machine to see if Windows recognizes it.
It may be an issue with the HDD.

also....."I have also tried plugging it in while the PC is running on the SSD to prompt the "detected new hardware""

<<<I don't think this is a good idea at all. This can ruin things.

This can typically happen when a motherboard has allocated a specific SATA port for an SSD/ M.2 storage device. Try connecting the HDD's SATA cable to a different port on the motherboard. Only do this while the computer is switched off.
BTW, which motherboard and SSD models do you have installed?

I would be thankful if anyone could help me with this issue.
