[SOLVED] My pentium g4600 is being recognized as a g4560 and is being underclocked to 3.5 because of it how do i fix it?

My g4600 cpu is inside my motherboard but device manager, task manager, and my motherboard bios recognizes it as a g4560 and i dont know how to get it to be recognized as a g4600 and run at its original clocked speed and power.

What motherboard and BIOS version? Might need to update the BIOS.

where do i go to check? cause it happened ever since i got the pc and i never even upgraded

Download and run CPU-Z -- https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html It will list the model of your motherboard and the BIOS version.

i did it, and it displays as a g4560 even tho i have a g4600

Is it possible you don't have a g4600 ? CPU-Z is pretty good at showing the truth. If it says g4560 you might really HAVE a g4560.

i dont think so i checked my cart and it says i got a 4600 unless i was scammed then i would be sorry for bothering you kind people

Give us the motherboard brand, model and the BIOS version you have. We can see if that BIOS supports your g4600 CPU.

I think you were sold a g4560.

I think you will have to work that problem from whoever you purchased your rig from.
