My phone reebots everytime i connect my wired xbox pdp controller

I am using the Samsung a5 2017 and since steam-link came out on phone i wanted to have some fun with it and bought an otg cable so i can plug my controller to my phone as soon as controller is plugged in my phone constantly reboots itself. the controller is Microsoft certified and is working on my Windows 10 PC, also the otg has been tested with other software and works fine.

Do you have another device that is OTG to determine if the phone will continue to reboot? Doing this will help you troubleshoot and narrow down weather the issue resides with the phone or the controller.

i have tired different otg devices and they work fine as: my mouse for example

Does the controller work find on another phone? Test that to determine if the issue with the device.
