Phone storage is empty and internal storage is full. Email is stopped because there is no space in internal storage. How do I shift data from internal storage to phone storage?

first of all you're gonna need to root
and use link2sd to delete some of the the useless apps pre installed on the phone like samsung apps

My phone is Smartnote C6 with android version 4.0.4. It has internal storage of 503 MB and Phone storage of 2.08GB. I have put an additional SD card of 32 GB. I have also selected the preferred install location as SD card. But since the internal memory is less the email stops and message is LOW on storage. How can I transfer the Internal Storage data to Phone Storage or to the SD card?

some internal data CANNOT be moved like messages-calls-settings-etc...
as i said you can only partially clear some space with deleting some apps but that'll only get you so far
it's just the phone makers problem not to put sufficent storage on their phones
