I have collected a list of parts that I would like to buy, and have done a fair bit of research regarding the compatibility and performance of the parts. However, I am still very new to PC hardware, having only ever installed new RAM and a GPU in my current PC.

Please note that I already own the graphics card I will mention, and I am going to upgrade to a 10 series Nvidia card in the far future.

I also considered buying intake fans for the case, but since the motherboard I am interested in only has 4-pin PWM fan connectors, I am struggling to find appropriate fans. The intake on this case can take two 140mm fans. Advice on this subject would be much appreciated.

This is a list of parts I have planned to buy:

If there are any incompatibilities, or if you can recommend a better part I would appreciate it greatly. Also, if there is anything else that I am missing from my 'shopping list', could you tell me so I can make sure I have everything for when I buy the parts.

Thank you,

It would be easier for people if put your build together in PCpartpicker, and export the bb code or permalink.

Just looking at that list, there are definitely some better options out there. Do not need thermal compound. Cryorig H7, or H5 universal, would be a better cooler. 120gb SSD is not very useful. The 6600k is an older gen too. Might want to consider a Ryzen 5 1600, if you want to overclock.

Thank you for the response, why would I not need thermal paste? I thought it was needed to act as a thermal conductor between the processor cover and it's cooler.

Also, thanks for recommending an alternative CPU cooler, they appear to be well reviewed. :)

I might just stick with the 6600k for now, unless a better alternative arises, since Ryzen does not seem all too appealing to me, considering the smaller selection of parts and my inexperience (I'd prefer to stick with a CPU that has a lot of documentation regarding installation and compatibility).

Finally, I will definitely consider a larger SSD, are there any 250GB (or there about) drives that you would recommend?

because the cooler you're getting already comes with it. so why waste money?
