[SOLVED] My power supply does not have a 4 pin 12V connector? Is it necessary?

Not sure I am seeing what you are seeing.

While not the highest quality power supply out there, it certainly has all the contemporary features, including a 4+4 pin 12V addtiional CPU power connector.

Or is that the power supply you want to use in place of one you have that doesn't? You would have to go back 15 or so years to find an ATX supply without at least the 4-pin. Pretty sure that requirement started with early Pentium 4.

ATX 20 pin
ATX 20 pin plus 4 pin CPU
ATX 24 pin, plus 4/8pin
And some weird inbetween states with motherboards having 4-pin molex connectors going to the board. (Now they use 6-pin PCIe connectors, or multiple EPS (8-pin CPU connectors)
