Depending on whether or not you grab a cheap Chinese unit, those tools might be worthwhile.
Seriously, though, grab a Seasonic S12II 630 if you're on a budget. If you have the money, go for an EVGA G2 or G3.
If you are willing to pay to avoid this issue again, consider the Corsair RMx series.
