My Proccesor rating droped from 3.6 to 1.5 what could be causing this

i Have a laptop and it just dropped the processing speed over night. I tried changing the O/S and and updating all Drivers But This has not Helped. Is this the end of my processor or i Could something?

It is normal to drop in speed to save power and create less heat at idle. Put it under load and it will pop right back up to 3.6

I assume you're referring to Windows Experience Index? If so, it's important to remember that running programs will adversely affect the rating. Anti-virus scanning is a particular one to watch out for.

I assumed he was referring to processor speed in ghz. He didn't tell us so who the f knows!

I never thought it might be clock speed, but then again I don't think there's a laptop processor that runs at 3.6Ghz.
