My PSP is not showing on my PC

Every time i connect my psp to my PC the psp says "please wait" forever and nothing shows up on my pc also i can't find my psp on the Device manager or My computer.
my psp settings:
USB CHARGE : OFF
USB MODE : ON
PSP MODEL : 3000
i am using Windows 8.1
the PSP is not hacked
the memory stick is working perfectly

try updating the firmware on the psp to atleast 6.60 or try a better usb cable

My PSP frimware is 6.60 however i am going to buy a new cable tomorrow, how mush a new cable would cost me ?

It's possible the USB cable you're using is a "power only" cable, and can't transmit data.

A new cable should be about $2.
