[SOLVED] my Psu explded pls help!!!!

so i tried installing a xfx r7970 my friend lent me when i tried installing the gpu all it did was light up the power led for a hair of a second and when i removed the gpu it turned on perfectly fine but i tried once more and then it just exploded pls help

i5 3340
asrock h61m vs3
avr (this broke btw) 220v
Generic psu of 600 w this is the one that exploded that day
obviously it was a power issue but what caused it pcie cables were connected pls help me

What caused it is a bad PSU not being able to deliver the needed wattage. It can have destroyed some of the other components. Pray it didn't happen and get a quality psu.

turns out the only thing that broke was the psu and avr is 600 w not enough

600w is enough but if it was a faulty/poor quality unit that would be what caused it. What Make & Model is it?

Also, what do you mean exploded? did it actually make a bang with smoke?

600W is enough, but not if it is a generic PSU as it won't really be able to deliver 600W and neither the required power in a stable manner. Get a new PSU with at least 600W, but with a minimum of quality. The minimum quality I would recommend is a Tier E PSU.

yeah it did but i swapped it out with a psu i had on hand
