My PSU is 400W & about 3 yrs old.Can i have a GTS 450?

My PSU is 400W.It actually came with my I-ball cabinet i bought. I don't know the exact model name.its about 3 yrs old. The case is i've bought a Zotac GTS450 amp edition card. Can i run it ?

No problem with damaging anything. If the PSU does not output the designed power then the computer will blue screen. But in your instance go ahead and try the new video card in your existing system. I don't see any need for a PSU upgrade if the present one will do the job.

Yes u can run it happily,unless u don't have a decent cooling system then a little problems will occur,like pcie slot melting, by the gpu's heat. :sol: :whistle: :sol: :D :sol:
 
It would also be important to know what other things your computer has. You "MUST" put all your system specs before you ask for help. A computer is not a car model that you can ask if the engine will work ok, its a self made car. In that case asking something wont help you unless you give FULL SYSTEM information.

This includes all pc components running on the PSu, if anything is overclocked or not, and the full specifications on the PSU.

:sol: :sol: :sol: simply buy a 750 watt PSU from cooler master or ANTEC or cosair,it is best to buy a 750w psu for future upgradings and present decent performance and of course latest 750w psu's are energy efficient than Iball psu's, if i say in twitter buy Antec high current psu. here is link for reference
