so yesterday I got the Antec VP-450 and its like 10% Louder than the old psu..should i be worried when gaming? or browsing..It sounds pretty normal but yeah. I mean its not THAT loud maybe im making a big deal but should i be worried when gaming?
That could just be because your new PSU's fan spins at a higher RPM than your old one and you're just not used to it yet.
If you're truly worried about temperatures, take your PSU out of your system, but still leave it connected to everything. Then turn on your computer, launch a game, and hold the PSU where it intakes air. If it's warm, you're fine, but if it gets a little too warm you either have a busted PSU or you need one that can supply more Watts and Amps to your build.
My rig Is a dell inspiron 3847 all the specs are the same (i3-4150 8b ddr3 RAM etc) Exept the gpu is a 750 ti..the cpu takes 55 watts im sure. the gpu takes i think 60? and yeah and on.
