Question My PSU makes a soft humming/buzzing noise. Cause for concern?

Feb 18, 2017
It's hardly noticeable, but if you listen for it, you can hear it. It becomes more apparent when you put your ear directly next to the unit. It doesn't really fluctuate in pinch like coil whine, it's more just a constant hum. It seems to change slightly under load, but I can't tell for sure. I'm not sure if it's electrical or not.

I noticed it a couple weeks ago while listening for noise coming from my GPU. It's possible the power supply has always made this sound but I just haven't been listening for it. I'm not sure.

The build is about 3-4 months old, and the unit is an EVGA 850W GQ.

Is this concerning, or is it just a regular sound of a functioning PSU?

Any information or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
