My r9 270x is not working with my motherboard!

I need help, I recently bought an r9 270x graphics card from gigabyte. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125476

I plugged it into my aurora r3 and nothing happens, I have two GTS 450s that I'm upgrading from and when they are in there they boot with the computer just fine. When I plug in the r9 270x nothing happens and the screen will not detect anything? Is my motherboard not compatible?

RAM : 8Gb

Bios : Alienware A06
