My Radeon HD 7770 is only being seen as a SVGA adapter in device manager.

Hello,
I have windows 7 with a gigabyte motherboard.
Everything is brandnew. I loaded the software that came with the HD7770. Should I go with a different video card?

Go to the AMD website and download the ENTIRE driver suite including Catalyst Control Center. Make sure everything is installed, and then reboot and then the 7770 should show up as a 7770. It's a pain in the neck, I had to do this with my 7970.
