Question My RAM can't be detected

Hello,
For a year i had the problem that my PC from one day to another stopped detecting 8 GB's of RAM . I have tried several things to find out what the problem might be , moving sticks in other slots, running memtest86, flashing the BIOS, the last thing i want to try is putting the sticks in another system and see if they are broken. The two sticks that are working are on the 6th and 8th slot the ones on the 1st and 3rd are not detected. I got some more DDR
CPU: intel i7-5820k
MOBO: Asus x99-a 3.1
RAM: 4x4 GB's Corsair Vengance LPX CMK16GX4M4A2666C16
GPU: Asus Radeon R9 390x

try using a nice alcohol rub on the cpu, then carefully place it in the socket. I have to do this every time on my 6900k and 6950x on Asus boards. Then it would read all 128 gigs. weird, but it makes the difference on two different ASUS x99 MOBOS....
