You can either use a profile like XMP or D.O.C.P to Auto set proper timings or manually enter SPD values in Bios.
Your SPD timings can be got from CPUz in Windows. Write them down in case you don't have a profile.
Please list your full system specs as asked.

make sure your bios is set correctly. I am forgetting what its called off hand xmp or something like that and something different if its an amd chip.

i have 4 sticks of ddr4 3000mhz but if i don't enable those profiles they show up at 2133mhz. i think enabling those profiles mentioned apply more voltage and other settings to get them to run at their advertised speeds.

only know the amd is called something different cause i recently built a new amd system.

maybe this will help.

List full specs of your system. Motherboard model name required here.
2666mhz requires ram overclocking.
Only Z series motherboards allow ram overclocking - like Z370 and Z390.
On B or H series boards like H310, B360, B365, H370 ram frequency for i3 8100 will be limited to 2400mhz.
