Question my ram is running at half speed

High all I have some corsair vengeance DDR4 2400mhz RAM and for some reason windows is detecting it as 1200mhz. I went to the BIOS and can confirm that it detects the sticks as 2400mhz and has that speed saved. I have tried several thing such as enabling auto overclock programms in the BIOS etc and setting it all manually (Not changing the voltage or CL timing) to 2400mhz. Can anyone help me out?

The only thing I am to try is actually reseating my RAM modules which I will do after I am home from work.

My MOBO is an ASUS ROG Strix x470-F
With a Ryzen 5 2600x
And the previously mentioned Corsair vengeance DDR4 2400mhz

Check with CPU-Z (memory section).
Should see 1200mhz there.
That means, it is running at 2400mhz effective (2 data transfers per clock, DDR stands for double data rate).

Ok thank you, where I found it running as 1200 was in the task manager as my gaming has been unstable lately so I checked my system out and been having issues the last two or three days.

As I have a nrtx 2070 so when I play siege I usually have everything maxed out fully on 1080p and have a constant 144FPS but the last two days its smooth but then feels like it goes down to 15FPS even though it still displays 144 and its become unplayable for me.

Task manager is known to display inaccurate data. Check with CPU-Z.

How would I do that? is it a specific piece of software or is it within windows itself? (Sorry still relatively new to PC fault finding)
