[SOLVED] my ram is showing half the speed

hi .... so i bought a new ram stick of 8 gb ddr4 at 2666 but thye task manager shows the ram speed at 1333 is that normal? what should i do
also is xmp safe for the components?

ddr mean double data rate. 1333x2 is 2666

Task Manager will either show the operating frequency (1333 in this case) or the transfer rate (2666) of the RAM. It just depends on what the motherboard firmware is telling it.

So yes, it's normal.
