my ram showing a frequency lower than the actual frequenvy?

i have g-skill 2x8 rams @3200 but when i check them under 3dmark they are showing much lower frequency
8,192 MB G.Skill DDR4 @ 2,142 MHz
am i suppose to go into the bios menu and set them to 3200 manually?

Actually, you are supposed to go into the BIOS and set the XMP or DOCP profile, depending on what platform you are working with which you don't mention.

Yes. 3200 is the overclocked speed so you have to go to BIOS and turn on XMP profiles.

i have asus maximus hero XI , i dont understand what is XMP profile? dont i just set the ram speed to 3200 instead of auto?

Before you do anything though, I would make sure you have the LATEST BIOS version installed for your motherboard.
