my ram slot is hve got burnt
how do i check
becoz it wont dectect the second 8gb ram

If the slot is "burnt" and it isn't detecting the memory, then it's probably time for a new board.

What is your motherboard model?

my motherboard is asus h61m-cs
so it wont dectect a brand new 8gb ram i got

Mind explaining what you did in order to reach this point? Are you sure you used sticks of ram that are meant to go onto the board?

yes i used the correct ram the same one i replaced
