Question My RGB control board started smoking

Hi there, im new to this site but i was wondering what it meant if your control board for your RGB fans started smoking. i was stupid enough to not turn the PC off before trying anything with my fans but the site said i needed to plug something in. My PC didnt shut down luckily and everything works like it should, my fans just dont light up anymore. Any tips on new RGB fans? I have a Sharkoon VG6-W RGB case with a GIGABYTE B450M GAMING motherboard in it

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model.

You should also include an image of the header off which you hooked your RGB devices to and if possible how they are wired in your system in case you're working with a controller/hub.

If so that says Addressable RGB which is ARGB.

while your board doesn't have an ARGB header.

i mean the case had RGB fans, they just flashed in different colors. can my motherboard not support RGB at all? im completely new to PC stuff
