My router only has ethernet connections. How can I add USB connections for an external drive? Or is there a router with USBs?

What is the make and model of your router? If the router doesn't have an available USB port then the answer is no. Adding one on doesn't solve the problem when you don't have one on the router.

Instead of getting a new router with USB, consider getting a NAS (network attached storage).
