Hello,

All I want to do is use headphones on this TV to play PS3 while my wife is sleeping. Can someone please help me as to how I should go about doing this?

I have this tv: http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN32EH4003FXZA-specs (although my model doesn't have the XZA at the end, not sure if that matters)

All I see on the back of my TV is 2 HDMI ports, component, audio L and R, and USB.

I bought this thinking it would be a quick fix but it doesn't work(works on my larger sony tv with audio out ports). Maybe my samsung audio ports are just IN? Or they don't work? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AJ692/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Can any one help me figure this out, apparently I'm not great with TV/Sound devices and issues.

Thanks!

there are various methods... but since your tv doesnt have headphone out... you need to use the source (ps3) or the optical jack of your tv.

you could use a usb headset meant for ps3 and connect directly up to it...

you could use the ps3 av connector and adapt the red+white rca to 3.5mm...

you could buy a hdmi or optical audio extractor (or dac) and use the red+white rca or 3.5mm connection on it...

astro mixamp via optical.....

depending on if you want to connect high power headphones (which need an amp on top of just adapting the signal) or just normal headphones (which should work fine) your connection options may change.

Did you ever find a solution for this? I have the same problem: Samsung TV with no audio output. But need to use headphones.
What is hdmi or optical audio extractor (or dac) and does it plug into something on the TV? If so, what?

Hello Everyone:

I own the Samsung 32” LED 1080p HD Wi-Fi Smart TV, Model UN32J5205.

After two months of searching (and wasting a lot of money and time searching) for a solution to connect either Bluetooth or analog headphones to this TV with no success, I finally found the solution that worked for me. I just installed it this morning and it is working well thus far. It cost me less than $20 on Amazon and I hope it can work for anyone else still having this problem, too.

Hi this may be late but I want to add that I had a similar situation. As suggested above, you solve it from the source. Hook up your console or dvd/bluray via special converter cable that is audio a/v on one side and 3.5 mm on the other side and enjoy the freedom. :)

Had tried multiple configurations to get my Seinhauser wired headphones to work on my new Samsung UN65KU6300...no luck. Plugged it into the cable box did the trick. Back in the saddle for late night TV
