My Sandisk 32GB USB Doesn't Work Stopped Working?

So one day I wanted to make a bootable drive to install Ubuntu Linux onto an old PC I had sitting around collecting dust. After I had it installed I plugged it into my current rig and it wouldn't recognize it. I found that strange so I plugged it into my laptop, same thing. I can't understand why nothing I have picks it up. If anybody as any explanation please tell me!
