Hello, my computer never use to do this.. In most game the screen will tear and flicker random colors... I upgraded my ram and my computer worked perfectly fine for a month or so and when i came back from out of town i noticed this was happening..

My Pc: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/L9mnyc

I have no idea what is causing this?

Solution
Hello,

I would suggest trying few things here.

1) Clean install Video Card Drivers. (I had the same issue and got it fixed by this solution. I think there's a tool for that by AMD)
2) Did you mean that knife sorta tear? If so turn on Vsync.
3) Is your display cable faulty?

Let us know what happens :)

Since Your GPU is AMD, I think AMD website has a software going by the name "AMD clean install Utility". Sorry if I got the name wrong. But look for it in the AMD website. First try this.

Alternatively, You can use CCleaner. (http://www.ccleaner.com).
- Go to Tools>Uninstall
- Uninstall all the AMD software
- Run the registry cleaner afterwards. And run the regular cleaner
- Restart

And re install the drivers again.

Post here what happens :)

I am pleased your issue is solved. Good Luck :)

Hey, it still happens sometimes for me on certain games like GTA 5 or H1Z1 but doesn't happen on DayZ or Arma 3?
Sometimes it'll make my game freeze up too on h1z1 and crash the game... It is very annoying. Do you have any other ideas?

Hello Again, Have you done any overclocks? If so remove the. I also have GTA 5. I suggest you updating the game to the latest version. I have also encountered a little flickering in GTA 5 but that happens rarely. And it's fixed after a restart of the game.

Plus check your temperature levels. These sorta issues occur because of GPU/GPU cable/ Driver failures. Use MSI afterburner to check temp levels.

And I am sorry I have no experience with H1Z1. We'll discuss further after trying the above.

Hey man, A couple weeks down the line my computer is bad off now.... It crashes in every single game after just like 5 minutes. The textures glitch out horribly too and things appear random colors. Sometimes even my game will restart or even blue screen.. (Rarely blue screens). Do you think it is time to replace my GPU?

There's a programme called furmark. Download it. It's a gpu stressing programme. Run it with stock speed with absolutely no overclocks. Check the temps and also keep an eye on the screen. Check if it makes artifacts (Black or white pixels). Tell me what happens :)

You should check viruses as well. And trying running a CPU stress programme like Prime95 and check temps with RealTemp. Post here the results :)

I ran furmark for 20 minutes, hottest the GPU got was 85C and no pixels were miscolored.
While running Prime95 all 6 of my cores were jumping between 3.0, 3.5 and 3.8 ghz? No errors..
I have no viruses.. i always run my norton anti virus like every week...

How was the CPU temps? Btw did you run furmark on your gaming resolution? Are your BIOS up to date?

If nothing's working and everything's looking fine, I think this is the last solution. I suggest you posting another thread regarding your motherboard and this issue. TBH I am scared to touch BIOS. Because doing the process wrong can destroy your mobo.

Hello Again,

I used to have this sorta issue long ago. PC was freezing quite often. I formatted the disc and re installed windows. It fixed the thing. I think you should try this before Bios update.

My computer doesn't really freeze, the graphics glitch out in game, sometimes the games will crash, sometimes the graphics will make the game crash and it'll cause my pc to just reboot. Sometimes my PC will even bluescreen..

I think BIOS update would be the solution here. But to be on the safe side, shall we try a format? I answered a issue like this on this forum long ago. That person didn't have the expected frame rate in CS:GO. And a BIOS update fixed that. If you are confident enough try doing it. Make sure power doesn't go off during the installation.
